I run CollarCraft out of a converted garage in East Austin, Texas. It is just me and Odin, a 95-pound wolfdog who has destroyed more collars than most dogs will ever wear.
After Odin chewed through his third "indestructible" collar in six months, I started keeping notes. Which hardware held up. Which leather cracked. Which stitching came apart at the river. Those notes turned into this site. Every collar I review lives on Odin for at least 60 days before I write a word.
I test in real conditions. Swimming holes, cedar brush, mud, rain, the back of a truck. I log wear patterns, measure hardware tension, count wash cycles. If a buckle corrodes or a rivet pops, I photograph it and write it up. No scores, no stars. Just honest notes from a bench in Texas.
Some links on this site earn a small commission. This never influences reviews. I have turned down paid partnerships with brands whose collars did not survive testing.
